Best Student Paper Award Application

Deadline: May 3, 2024

The VLSI Symposia Best Student Paper Award (BSPA) is awarded to a student registered fulltime at a university even if the paper's first affiliation is industry or research institute.


To qualify for VLSI BSPA,


  • The first author must be a fulltime student as of the date of paper submission.
  • The paper must be performed primarily by the student author, and presented by the student author at the Symposium.
  • In order to validate the above, student authors need to complete this form including professor/supervisor signature, and
  • Upload it as a scanned pdf file to this form.
  • If it is explicitly stated in the paper, above requirements also apply to authors who have made equal contributions


If the work described in the paper has been done in part or in its entirety at an industrial site or research institute, both the professor and the supervisor at the industrial/research institute need to sign this application form.
