What to expect?

Play Phase is all about giving children aged four to six the best possible start, in terms of their development and their first steps into football. Throughout this workshop, you’ll learn more about the Play Phase philosophy, develop your understanding of children of this age and find out how to create the best environment for them to learn through play.

• Introduction to Play Phase and the ‘why’ behind it.
• Reveal the key principles of Play Phase.
• Introduction to the Play Framework and ‘Captains of Play’.

Workshop overview

The Play Phase e-module and resources are complimented by this non-compulsory face-to-face practical workshop. Although Play Phase acts as an introduction to football, it is about so much more. The approach is geared towards creating a new generation of sport lovers as well as future footballers. The workshop will focus on some of the main elements of the online e-module, namely, the power of play, types of play and how you can be a great ‘Captain of Play’.
