Fall 2024 Leadership Fundamentals for Aspiring Leaders Program Application

Please complete this form by Friday, August 23, 2024 to apply for the UCOP Leadership Fundamentals for Aspiring Leaders Development Program. The program is open to all UCOP employees not currently in a manager or supervisor role who have been at UCOP for 1 year, have manager approval, and have a minimum of "Solid Performance" on the performance appraisal.

Application Instructions

Role or position title

Total work experience in any role. Please note, applicants must have at least 1 year of service at UCOP.

By submitting this form, your supervisor will be notified of your application and will be sent a recommendation and approval form.

Describe how you have shown a commitment to your own professional growth in the past. How have these experiences impacted you and your work?

This program supports your professional growth through five facilitated sessions about goal setting, leadership styles, prioritization, time management, and wellness, as well as a peer workgroup and independent leadership project. What are your hopes or goals for participating in the program?

We believe that leadership can be shown in many ways. Being a leader is not dependent on your professional title. Describe a situation (personal or professional) where you used leadership skills. What did you accomplish? What were the challenges?

In addition to the live sessions, participants will attend peer workgroups, initiate an independent leadership project in their role, and complete assignments in the online portal. Estimated time commitment outside of facilitated sessions is estimated to be about 30 minutes per day.
