This award is designed to recognize individuals who embody and promote the hallmarks of Phi Theta Kappa — scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship— typically over their lifetime. Individuals nominated unsuccessfully for the Hall of Honor for Outstanding Alumni are considered for the Award of Merit for Outstanding Alumni.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: This application contains two parts.

• Part 1 (to be written by chapter members): Describe in an essay of 500 words or fewer the ways the nominee embodies and promotes scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship. The essay should consist of: (a) a thesis paragraph giving an overview of the member's exemplary contributions to the chapter or region, (b) several supporting paragraphs, and (c) a conclusion.
• Part 2 (to be written by a chapter advisor): Explain in a letter how the alumnus has rendered to the chapter and/or region contributions in scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship.

Each chapter may submit one (1) nomination for the Texas Hall of Honor for Outstanding Alumni. All entries must be submitted by Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11:59 PM CST.
