Graduate Student
Out of State Waiver Request
Out-of-state tuition waivers provide discounted tuition to students who are not Georgia residents. Students awarded 100% out-of-state tuition waivers will pay the in-state (Georgia resident) tuition rate. Students who are awarded a 50% out-of-state tuition waiver will pay ½ of the out-of-state or international tuition rate and will pay the other ½ at the in-state (Georgia resident) rate. The out-of-state waiver only applies to tuition. Student fees are not covered by this discount.
The out-of-state tuition waiver is not an automatic award. Students interested in receiving this discount must apply. The application is open from April 1 – July 1. July 1 is the deadline to apply for the Fall/Spring/Summer semesters. Students may request up to three semesters total for each application. Students must reapply each year. This is a merit-based award, and eligible students are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
To maintain the out-of-state tuition waiver award for the requested semesters, students must remain enrolled and in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students who fall below a 3.0 GPA will no longer be eligible for the out-of-state tuition waiver.
