2025-2026 Youth Education Foundation Scholarship Application for current Diploma Plus Scholars

Criteria

Character / Financial Need / Scholastic Ability

Eligibility

• Must currently be enrolled in a high school in Bexar County • Must be a current recipient of the Sam J. Riklin Rotary Diploma Plus Scholarship. • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. • Must plan on attending college during the 2025-2026 academic year at an accredited college or university.

Amount of Scholarship

Scholarships in the amount of $500 to $2,000 will be awarded. The award will be mailed directly to the college/university indicated by the student for the 2025-2026 academic year once proof of enrollment has been mailed to the Rotary office.

Instructions

In order for an application to be considered complete, the following items must accompany your application 1. An essay of 500 words describing how the Diploma Plus Award has: a. has helped you during your Senior year; b. inspired you to make a difference in your neighborhood or community now and in the future. 2. An unofficial transcript from your current school. 3. A letter of recommendation from a counselor or faculty member at your school. (Please note that the letter must be on school letterhead.) 4. A copy of your SAT or ACT scores. 5. A copy of your FAFSA or TAFSA.
