This screening tool will determine if you meet the preliminary criteria needed to purchase a home through Will County Habitat. If you answer YES to the following questions, you may qualify to buy a Habitat home.

Do you have a housing need?*

Examples include: living in unsafe or substandard housing conditions, rent payments exceed 30% of your monthly gross income, overcrowded living conditions, or presently living in a transitional housing situation.

If accepted into the program, Will County Habitat requires you to work volunteer hours (Sweat Equity) in the amount of 350 hours per household. This includes working at our job sites and/or retail store. In addition, you will be required to take home buyer education classes.*
