Project Background
Psychiatric disorders are common among individuals of reproductive age, when they are more likely to be pregnant or parenting. Pregnancy and childbirth are significant health factors in the life cycle of reproductive individuals as they are at an increased risk for psychiatric disorders. Accordingly, CBH is seeking to understand the level of interest the from the provider network to provide evidence-based psychiatric services that are responsive to the unique needs of the perinatal population.
CBH is working in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital to provide trainings on perinatal topics, including an option for specialized Perinatal CBT training. This training is for master’s level clinicians who would participate in four to six sessions to complete the course. There would be an expectation of receiving CEU's and a designation as a specialty provider from CBH’s Evidence Based Practice and Innovation Center (EPIC).
