Note: changes are not backdated. When you submit an update request, Canada Life will reflect the date based on the time of the change in our systems.


Please allow a minimum of 15 business days for us to process requests like email addresses and GAL updates. If your profile updates have legal implications (such as a legal name change), validation may take longer. Don’t worry, we’ll notify you of the steps we’re taking along the way.

If this isn’t updated, clients will continue to receive emails from your old email address. Update your information using the instructions below:


How to update your Workspace profile:

  1. Log in to Workspace.
  2. Click on your initials in the circle in the top right corner.
  3. Select “My Profile”, and then click the “Edit” button.
  4. Update your information and save.

Market Access Program (MAP):

If you're incorporating or joining a firm, or changing the way you get paid (I.e., moving from an individual bank account to a corporate bank account), it's required that you recontract with MAP and Financial Horizons.


Are you unsure if you need to recontract? Refer to this quick table for instances when you do and don’t need to.

DocuSign:

To update, please log in to DocuSign and follow these steps:

  1. In your DocuSign account, click your profile image and select “Manage Profile”.
  2. Navigate to “My Profile Information” in the “Email Address” section and select “Update”.
  3. Select “Continue” and enter your new email address, then click “Send code”. A confirmation email is sent to your new address with a verification code.
  4. Enter the verification code in the “My Profile” site and select “Verify”. Your email address is now updated. Use your new address to log in to DocuSign eSignature.


National registration database and mutual fund compliance

There are other topics specific to the national registration database (NRD) and mutual fund compliance that aren’t included in this form. Examples can include:

•    Notification of outside business activities

•    Legal requirements to pay a debt

•    Lawsuits against you, your business, civil or criminal charges/convictions, etc.
