Room and Hall Information

New Student Orientation (NSO) Guest Housing is located in Buff Hall, a co-ed residence hall which features four bedroom/two bath super-suites. You can visit the Buff Hall website to view the hall and room amenities.

Please read all items below to understand reservation details and your responsibilities as a guest:

Each room is approximately 10' x 11' and comes with a full-size bed, a desk and chair, and a large wardrobe closet; bed linens are NOT provided. Guests are responsible for bringing their own pillows, linens, towels, and toiletries.

Each room reserved is $50 for the entire NSO. Price covers guest's stay from the evening of DAY 1 of NSO through the following morning of DAY 2; there is no discount for arriving late. NO stays are permitted the night of DAY 2 of NSO.

Payment for guest housing will be completed at check-in by credit/debit card. Cash, checks, and money orders cannot be accepted.

Guests must be at least 18 years of age; minors must be accompanied by an 18+ guest.

Failure to return suite/room keys, damages to the suite/room, etc. will be billed to the WT student's account. The student will be responsible for paying these charges with their Fall bill.

Guests are expected to adhere to the same standards/requirements that are placed on Buff Hall residents during the academic year. Alcohol, alcohol containers, candles, extension cords, and pets are not allowed. Any guest found in violation of these and any residence hall rules will be asked to leave. More details can be found in the Student Handbook.

The West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) campus is a smoke-free campus. The use of tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco products (e.g. vape pens, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes) is prohibited throughout campus.

All guests are expected to attend the NSO Family/Guest sessions available in the Family/Guest Schedule and will not be attending the Student sessions.

Each Buff Hall suite is divided into two sides, with a common living area; each side has two rooms and one bathroom (a total of 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms).

You will be assigned to one side of the suite; another guest of the same sex will be assigned to the second side, with each side having their own bathroom.

If you are assigned to a suite with no other guests in the suite, you will only have access to the room(s) you have paid for.

Any questions regarding NSO Guest Housing should be referred to the Office of Residential Living.
