Industry Partner Interest in Mobile Welcome Center Appearance

Thank you for wanting to learn more about BEV, which is our Beach Engagement Vehicle for Alabama's Beaches! This Mobile Welcome Center is easily recognized in our beach destination as a fun pink van that allows our guest service team to interact directly with visitors and locals in our community. Our mission is to promote Beach Safe and Leave Only Footprints Initiatives in addition to answering vacation-related questions. Finally, we are providing this service free of charge to our Industry Partners.

Details for a Successful BEV Appearance

BEV is a fun, engaging experience, and here are the details that enable a successful day for all.

Mission: To market Alabama's Beaches directly to our guests and area residents, answering vacation-related questions

Location: At the event entrance or other high-traffic flow area

Sound: Away from stages or loud music that would prevent us from hearing the guests stopping by our van

Parking Area:

20 feet long and 16 feet wide (essentially the width and depth of two parking spaces)
At least 10 feet of vertical clearance (as we are a high-roof van)
Hard, relatively flat surface (pavement, concrete, grass or gravel. No sand or dirt please.
Maneuvering room to park in the space so that our passenger side of the van is accessible to your guests. It’s our working side for guest interactions.

Criteria:

Preference for mid to high-volume events frequented by area guests
Scheduling coordinated in advance with the CVB’s Director of Visitor and Partner Services (Kim Chapman)

Liability:

We are not liable or responsible for any possible injuries around our set-up (We will do our best to always put safety first)
We are a non-political organization with the hyper-focused mission of marketing the Alabama Gulf Coast as a year-round destination.
