Charitable Donation Request Form

The Center for the Arts has four basic guidelines for donating tickets to community organizations:

1. We donate to non-profit organizations in the metropolitan/DMV area only.

2. We will honor one request per organization per season, e.g., the 2025-2026 Great Performances at Mason season. We will prioritize organizations who are requesting a donation for the first time.

3. We donate for fundraising efforts, not for prizes, unless the prize-winning is part of a fundraising effort, such as a raffle prize won during a fundraiser “gala dinner and silent auction.” Prize-winning is distinguished from the tickets being “won” by auction bid.

4. If a religious organization is holding a fundraiser, we will donate to that fundraiser if the funds raised benefit the wider community and not exclusively benefit the religious organization.

Our donations are always in the form of a certificate that must be exchanged in person for the tickets at the Center for the Arts Ticket Office.

The certificate is usually for two tickets, and we state in our donor information that the maximum value of the certificate is $140.00, based on two tickets to the most expensive eligible performance.

Certificates are issued for our presenting season, running September through May, and are not issued for specific performances.

Exclusions apply. The following events are excluded from certification redemption, including but not limited to the ARTS! By George benefit and headliner concert, Virginia Opera, Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, Student Involvement events, rental events, and other special events.

We request all listings please include the exclusionary language on the donated certificate. Failure to include the exclusions in the listing may disqualify your organization's future donation requests.

If your request is approved, the Ticket Office will confirm via email when the certificate is ready for pick-up.

The Center for the Arts Ticket Office's business hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There are 15-minute parking spaces, marked for Ticket Office business, located at the end of Mason Pond Drive.
