We are recruiting people to volunteer as Patient Escorts at our midtown Sacramento health center. Patient Escorts help ensure that our patients can get past protesters and access the health center and they monitor protester behavior to support the safety of staff, patients, and volunteers.

Location: Sacramento, CA 95816

Shift times:

• Days: Wednesdays and Thursdays
• Times:
• Shift 1: 8:15am - 10:50am
• Shift 2: 10:40am - 1:15pm

Requirements:

1. Commit to completing at least two to four shifts/month (from the dates and times above).
2. Commit to volunteering consistently for 6 months.
3. Complete health screening requirements (flu vaccine, TB screening, COVID vaccine + booster, and evidence of MMR vaccine – we can help you access some of these health screenings if you don’t have them).
4. Attend the volunteer orientation and the patient escort trainings (on Zoom).
5. Complete online forms, a background check, and provide an email address for a reference.

Trainings:

• We will be scheduling Zoom trainings in April and May
• There will be two Zoom trainings:
• A 2-hour volunteer orientation on Zoom
• A 2-hour patient escort training on Zoom (we will schedule that for after the volunteer orientation)
• During your first shift the Safety and Security team will be there to walk you through the site.
