Communication Ambassador Program

Volunteer Form

In collaboration with Medical Student Education, the CAP comprises representatives from each campus who are our "eyes and ears," keeping us in the loop on what is happening on their campus. They will appear on MSE social media to provide important campus updates and give us student-perspective feedback on communications we put out.

Some program participant goals:

  1. Students from each campus will be part of an ongoing chat group with us at MSE. We will use this forum to discuss upcoming communications and ask you, the students, how it might be perceived.
  2. Ambassador students from each campus will keep us updated on campus life. They can access the @IU_MSE Instagram to do regular check-ins, coverage of events, and campus-specific announcements.
  3. Ambassador students will be our first contact if we need a student to participate in a video. They will also help us keep track of willing classmates, in the event backups are needed.
  4. They will be our liaison if they hear of student(s) with a nice story or experience. They will send them our way so we can interview/profile them.

We believe this program will help all IU School of Medicine students feel more connected and will highlight what is happening on ALL campuses. We anticipate this being a time commitment of no more than 2-3 hours a month—sometimes less.
