Observer Registration Form for Council Meetings
Welcome to the registration process to attend a virtual meeting of the Council of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario as an observer.
The role of the Council of the College is to:
- ensure compliance of the College with the mandate set out in the RHPA, the Code and the Act and the regulations made under them;
- set the strategic directions of the College and monitor the College’s performance against these directions; and
- appoint the Chief Executive Office and monitor their performance against the agreed upon priorities.
The Council meets six times per year on the morning of the last Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November annually. Present in the meeting are the registrants of the College elected in one of the seven districts, the seven individuals appointed to the Council by the Government of Ontario and staff of the College who support the meeting but who do not participate in votes to make decisions.
Observers of the meeting are provided a link to a live stream of the Council meeting via YouTube. Observers do not attend within the virtual platform nor are they able to directly access the video stream.
Regardless, the Council of the College has established Guidelines for Observers of Virtual Meetings of the Council of the College to ensure that the meetings operate smoothly and that the deliberations of the Council are free of any external influence or pressure. This ensures that decisions made are free of any external bias.
By completing this form, you are registering for one (or more) of the upcoming Council meetings that are being held virtually. Individuals who have completed this form and agreed to the terms set out in the form will receive a link to the virtual meeting on the morning of the meeting. This link will be sent at approximately 9:00 am on the day of the meeting. The meetings themselves begin at 9:15 am.
If you have any questions or do not receive the link, you may email the College at general@collegeofnaturopaths.on.ca and staff will assist you.
If you would like to see a copy of the agenda and materials provided to the Council, you can find them here on the College's website.
