Confluence Crew volunteers are required to collect Tier I (Visual Observation) data. Any additional data collection is recommended, but will be based on each volunteer's interests and time constraints. For more information on the data collection that is required for each tier, please visit palousecd.org/confluence-crew and download the Confluence Crew Handbook. Please note that this is merely an interest form; selecting a higher tier now does not automatically commit you to collecting this data. Should you wish, you will be permitted to adjust your level of participation during training.

Some volunteers prefer to conduct monthly monitoring year-round, while others prefer to restrict to warm months (April - October).

Confluence Crew operates throughout Whitman County.

PCD highly discourages anyone from sampling alone. Sampling with a partner increases safety and the quality of data collection.

PCD provides waders to volunteers who require them. Please note that a cash or check deposit is required. This deposit will be held by PCD and returned when you finish your service. Volunteers are not required to wear waders while monitoring if they do not wish. Please note that PCD prohibits the use of felt-soled waders, as they are known vectors of transmission for aquatic invasive species.
