Hybrid and Flexible Work Arrangements

Welcome to the submission process for requesting a Hybrid or Flexible Work Schedule at Southwestern University. This process aligns with the University’s Hybrid and Flexible Work Policy to support work-life balance while maintaining the operational needs of the institution.


Instructions for Submission

  1. Discuss the Arrangement: Before completing the submission, discuss your proposed hybrid or flexible work arrangement with your supervisor to ensure alignment with departmental needs and responsibilities.
  2. Policy Review: Before submitting your request, please review the attached Hybrid and Flexible Work Policy to ensure you understand the eligibility requirements, expectations, and guidelines.
  3. Agreement Form: Complete the Hybrid and Flexible Work Agreement Form, detailing your proposed work schedule and other relevant information.
  4. Obtain Necessary Signatures: After finalizing the details of your proposed arrangement, ensure the Agreement Form is signed by both your supervisor and the appropriate Vice President.
  5. Submission: Upload your completed Agreement Form using this submission platform.


Important Notes

  • All requests will be reviewed by your supervisor, the department head, and senior leadership for approval.
  • Approved agreements will be implemented on a trial basis and are subject to periodic review for effectiveness.
  • Hybrid and flexible work arrangements do not alter your compensation, benefits, or terms of employment.

  1. Internet Speed Confirmation: You have performed an internet speed test to verify your connection meets the minimum required speed of 25 Mbps and provided a copy of the results to your supervisor.
  2. IT Equipment and VPN: You confirm that you have the appropriate equipment for hybrid work, such as a laptop, and have VPN access configured.
  3. Cybersecurity Training: You have completed the Cybersecurity Awareness training in Vector Solutions and provided a copy of the training certificate to your supervisor.
