To ensure that the Council meeting is conducted with decorum and with due regard to integrity of the process and decision-making, observers monitoring live streamed meetings of the Council must review and agree to the following.
- Observers are required to register in advance of the hearing via the Observer Registration for Council Meetings page of the College’s website. The College will provide a live stream link to all registered participants approximately 1 hour in advance of the meeting via e-mail.
- Council meetings are open to the public. However, the public may be excluded from any Council meeting or part of a meeting pursuant to section 7 of the Health Professions Procedural Code. Where portions of a meeting are closed to the public in accordance with the legislation, observers will see a notice of the above on the live stream screen.
- Audio or video recording of the meeting and/or sharing the live stream link is not permitted. No person attending or observing a meeting is allowed to make a recording of the whole or parts of the meeting and/or share the live stream link with other individuals.
- The College will not retain a recording of the meeting. Staff will delete live stream recording from the College’s YouTube channel immediately after the hearing.
- No person shall communicate by electronic or other means with any Council member during the meeting or during any break in the meeting. No person shall attempt to influence a Council member on any matter being brought before the Council for its deliberation or during a debate being conducted by the Council.
- Posting information observed or heard during the meeting is strictly prohibited. All information provided to the Council in its meeting materials are copyrighted materials belonging exclusively to the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. All rights are reserved.
