DWI-UNC EFC Workshop: NC Procurement Regulations and Processes (Fall 2024)
The NCDEQ Division of Water Infrastructure (DWI) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Environmental Finance Center (UNC EFC) are jointly holding two FREE workshops in Eastern NC (hybrid) and Western NC (now virtual only) to provide training and guidance on the construction procurement requirements in NCGS 143 and best practices for local government units (LGUs) before, during, and after project completion.
Register below for the hybrid workshop on October 28th in Wilson, NC (Eastern) or the November 14th virtual webinar on "Procurements During Disasters and Emergencies." NOTE: In the wake of Hurricane Helene, the November 14th 10am-3pm in Asheville, NC (Western) workshop has been RESCHEDULED to virtual only (Webex) from 10am-12pm and will now focus specifically on procurement during disasters and emergencies.
What will I learn? Topics will include:
- contracting methods,
- federal and state requirements for construction projects,
- compliance with federal and state funding, and
- post-construction best practices.
