DPR Partnership/Sponsor/Donor Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a partner/sponsor/donor with the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR). Below, please find a summary of the types of partnerships and the documents required to start the review of an application.


ADOPT-A-PARTNERS:


'Adopt a' Partners are individuals or organizations that support our efforts to keep DPR properties beautiful and provide general clean-up and maintenance services. This includes dog parks, gardens, parks, fields, courts, etc.

FRIENDS of GROUPS :


'Friends of' Groups are nonprofit organizations with 501(c)3 status and a stated mission to support a DPR park or facility. Designated groups steward, advocate, and host fundraising events for the site to help maintain the grounds/buildings. Friends of Groups hold quarterly public meetings to engage the public, encourage voluntary membership, and submit quarterly reports to share outcomes from activities and events.


Documents REQUIRED:

•    Partnership proposal

•    Articles of Incorporation (including proof of 501 (c) status.)

•    Bylaws

•    Certification of Clean Hands


PROGRAMMATIC PARTNER:


Programmatic Partners are organizations that support DPR’s mission by providing high-quality programs at NO COST to DPR or District residents at DPR facilities. Programmatic Partners implement these programs with approved staff and volunteers, provide program reports quarterly, and evaluate programs annually. Program Partners are not allowed to charge for their services.


Documents REQUIRED:

•    A formal partnership proposal including a detailed description of your proposed partnership. Include a copy of your mission statement, brief summary of services and a sample curriculum for the program that you would like to offer.

•    Certificate of Insurance (that expires after the program concludes or in 1-year).

•    Copy of mission statement and a brief summary of services.

•    DC Certificate of Clean Hands- VISIT HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

•    List of key staff and volunteers facilitating the Program; include full name, email, and a preferred phone number. This information is needed for background check of all those interfacing with minors (if applicable).

•    List of Board of Directors including names, board titles, affiliations and terms (if applicable)

•    Organization Articles of Incorporation (if, applicable)



DONATIONS:

• Donation proposal including a description of the donation and estimated value.



SPONSORSHIPS


Documents REQUIRED:


• Sponsorship proposal including a description of the space(s) being sponsored and estimated value.


PARTNER SPECIAL EVENTS:

*Requests for pre-approved partner special events in collaboration with DPR.

*These events must be pre-approved by the agency/partnership team before request is submitted


FITDC PARTNER

**Requests for pre-approved FitDC partnered events in collaboration with DPR.

*FitDC annual Ambassador Requests

*The events and ambassador requests must provide a full scope of requests that include ambassador engagement or event(s) overview.
