If you are applying on behalf of a client, please include c/o and enter their name beside yours.

Note: If you are getting a new connection for power, water or telecommunications, please ensure the utility provider is aware of your intention so they may mark out on the road seal where their services are.

Please provide the best number/s to contact you on.

By entering your email address, you will receive notifications via email from a system called Smartsheets.

What Tapere (subvillage) is your project in?

Enter the corresponding Vaka (district) for your Tapere

Check the drop down menu to select the type of road e.g chipseal, hot mix, gravel etc.

In Google Maps navigate to your project location, click on the applicable part of the road, click the share icon and copy the link to this field. (If you aren't sure of the location, click on the area of road nearest to your section). Alternatively, describe the location if you can't use Google Maps.

Note that ICI is working to reduce cutting new pavement seal. If the seal has been recently upgraded (hotmix or new chipseal) ICI will direct you to utilise directional drilling services to avoid cutting the road.

If there is no choice but to cut a hotmix road, ICI will arrange the work with Triad and you will be invoiced for the work by Triad.

The work will involve digging up a trench, backfilling it after services are laid and resealing the road pavement. You will need to arrange excavation services and road sealing services. These services are provided by the private sector, utilities (for their own work) and ICI.

ICI's service costs:

For resealing the road pavement: Establishment fee of $250 and then $350 per square metre.

For both trenching, backfilling and resealing: Establishment fee of $500 and then $850 per cubic metre.

Choose a service provider for the trenching and backfill work from the list. If the work is on a hotmix road, please select Triad.

For chip seal roads, only ICI does the resealing.

For asphalt (hotmix) roads, only Triad does the resealing.

Tell us why you need to excavate.

Is there any additional information you think we should know about your project?

Infrastructure managers:

  1. Add imagery or CAD PDF file to show the extent of your project if it is beyond a single location. Ensure the areas to cut are indicated.
  2. Add a temporary traffic management plan (TTMP) if your activity will affect the movement of pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
