Monash Abroad Global Program Registration

WHAT: Registration form for all faculty/school/portfolio developed global programs. Program types include: Global Study Tours, Global Immersion Guarantee, Global Co-Curricular Experiences, Global Work Integrated Learning.


WHY: As per the Leading Student Group Travel Procedure, Monash Abroad is the Travel Approver for all coursework and co-curricular student group travel. Travel Approvers stipulate a process for activity or program approval, including the relevant forms and/or documentation required by Activity Leaders when seeking approval. This form is the first step to gain program approval.


WHO: Activity leaders (academics, staff) or administrators who develop programs.


WHEN: Complete this form after the program has been confirmed by the Activity Owner (Dean, portfolio-head, FGM).


NEXT: Monash Abroad will review your submission and contact you to discuss risk management strategies. Following registration, you can move immediately to the Brochure Build Request Form. This is the step required to have your program listed on Monash Abroad's Program page.

What level of local experience do the in-country leaders have?

 

At any time will this program travel to or transit through a DFAT level 3 (reconsider your need to travel) or level 4 (do not travel)? If yes, enhanced approvals are required.

 

Will staff or students travel on group flights to the destination?

NOTE: Group flights are no longer required as they do not offer as much value as pre-COVID. However, we still recommend students booking flights through the applicable Travel Management Company.


 

Will staff and students stay in the same accommodation together?

NOTE: while offshore, all Monash staff and students are still bound by the Child Safe Standards, the Modern Slavery Act and all other state and national legislation pertaining to the protection of children. As such, any program that involves direct contact with children where that contact is not incidental to the work being carried out (more info here) must ensure that all participants obtain a Working with Children Check.

* If you have not begun discussing your program with a Travel Management Company, we will connect you/your Faculty's Global Programs Staff with Reho Study Tours and share your draft itinerary with them.
