Learning Communities @ ASU!

Welcome, Rams!

A Learning Community is an innovative educational experience where a small group of students enroll in several of the same courses dedicated to a special theme. Here at Albany State University the instructors of these courses work together to create fun and exciting learning activities such as professional networking, fieldtrips, and service learning that take place both inside and outside of the classroom. Your participation in one of our learning communities will help you forge closer bonds with students and faculty, and will also support your academic and professional development.

First year students entering ASU Fall 2023 are eligible to join one of our communities. If you are interested in joining one of our Learning Communities please first review the list of communities to review the descriptions below. Once you complete this form, your request will be forwarded to your academic advisor and someone will be in touch to provide additional information.

You have made a great choice in selecting a learning community! Data suggests that students who engage in learning communities have better grades and graduate on time.

Please make sure that your cell number in Banner Web is updated and is listed as "primary." This is how the University will communicate important information to you on a regular basis.
