Entry Fee: $11.00 per person. If you paid membership to enter the 2017 exhibition you do not need to pay this fee. You no longer need to be a Member of MIFQ to exhibit.

It is a requirement of this Art Exhibition that each artist is living with or has a lived experience of mental illness.

• MIFQ will add 10% GST to the quoted sale price on this form
• MIFQ will retain 15% of the sale price (excluding GST) as commission on all artwork
• Payments for sold artwork will be made to artists by 30 November 2018

Artwork can include paintings in various media, sketches, poetry and photography. Due to space limitations, freestanding artwork will not be accepted.

- Each artist is permitted to exhibit 2 pieces no larger than 120cm x 120cm
- Unfortunately, due to space restrictions additional artwork cannot be accepted.

• All artwork must be priced for sale
• Artwork cannot be listed as ‘negotiable’. If a buyer is interested in negotiating on your price MIFQ will contact you at that time
• Artwork pricing is the responsibility of the artist
• MIFQ will add 10% GST to the quoted sale price on this form. Why? Because when MIFQ sells artwork, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) considers this our sale. We are therefore obligated to charge GST on the sale and pay that amount to the ATO. GST on the sale of artwork has no implication on the total amount we pay to the artist. The artist still receives 85% of the sale price, excluding GST
• MIFQ reserves the right to decline the pricing of any artwork

• All artwork must be completed, be in saleable condition, and be ready to hang at the time of delivery or it will not be accepted
• All artwork must be secure and ready to hang using d-rings or eyelid hooks and wire or string. String is only acceptable for small artworks weighing less than 500g
• Artwork with standard photo frame hanging hooks, staples, ribbon, wool, sticky tape or other fasteners will not be accepted. Please see page 8 for more information on preparing your artwork for display
• All artwork, including frames and glass, must be clean, structurally sound and in saleable condition
• Artwork that does not comply with these standards, or is too heavy to hang safely, will not be accepted upon delivery

• Upon delivery, the back of each piece of artwork must be clearly labelled with the artist’s display name, title of the piece, medium and price (excluding GST)
• To reduce waiting times when delivering your artwork, please have your artwork labelled before you arrive
• Please deliver your artwork to your preferred location at one of the times listed below
• You will NOT receive a phone call to remind you of the drop-off arrangements
Please note: you do not have to make a booking to deliver your artwork. Delivery is on a first come, first served basis
• Unsold artwork will be delivered back to the location where it was dropped off on the week commencing 13 November. All artwork must be collected by 30 November 2018
• Artwork which is not delivered by the specified date will not be accepted

• All artwork delivered on time will be listed in our Art Catalogue
• A selection of artwork from the Art Exhibition will be used along with the artist's display name in a variety of publications to promote MIFQ's events, programs and services
• Entry to the Exhibition gives MIFQ the right to use artwork for this purpose
• This Exhibition is professionally curated
• MIFQ is not the supplier of any goods, or the agent of any artists, and takes no responsibility for the actions of any artist
• Every effort will be made to display all artwork during the Exhibition, but cannot be guaranteed. However, if circumstances arise, including limited space, efforts will be made to display a selection of each artist’s work
• MIFQ is not required to retain or supply any artwork packaging including sheets, bubble wrap and corner protectors
• MIFQ will exercise due care in relation to all artwork but under no circumstances is MIFQ, or its representatives, liable for any loss, damage, theft or destruction of any work whilst at the offices of MIFQ, in storage, at the event venue, or in transit to or from the Exhibition
• Any unsold artwork that has not been collected by 30 November 2018 becomes the property of MIFQ and its use will be at the sole discretion of MIFQ
• MIFQ reserves the right to decline entry of any work deemed to be offensive, detrimental to the public image of the organisation, or may infringe on copyright laws.

Each year artists are able to donate an additional piece of artwork. These artworks may be used for prizes, gifts or sold, with the proceeds supporting MIFQ services. Any donated artwork that is not utilised during the event will be used for fundraising purposes at a later date.

When a payer (MIFQ) makes payments to suppliers (artists) for goods, it is a requirement of the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) that those suppliers provide an ABN number, unless they are an individual and the supply of artwork is either made in the course or furtherance of an activity done as a private recreational pursuit or hobby.

If you DO NOT have an ABN and DO NOT do art as a hobby, MIFQ may be required by the ATO to withhold an amount from the payment.

MIFQ will retain 15% commission on all artwork sales.
MIFQ does not take any tax out of payments made to artists. Any taxation requirements are the responsibility of the artist.
Payment will be made to artists by 30 November 2018.
