Leadership Self-Care Skills Group
The Self-Care Skills Group for Leaders is a free eight-week program with a two-hour virtual session each week beginning Tuesday, March 22-May 17 from 3-5 p.m. Individuals will learn a range of the most effective, science-based tools for self-care, stress management, resilience, health, and overall wellbeing. Leaders who work closely with the community will enhance their capacity for self-care and self-awareness through mindful eating, several forms of meditation, guided imagery, biofeedback, autogenic training, and the use of drawings, breathing, and movement.
The purpose of this skills group is to 1) teach leaders who work closely with the community a wide variety of self-care skills and 2) encourage leaders to share these skills with their teams and Fishers residents in order to promote wellbeing across the Fishers community. We will encourage leaders to mindfully transition out of the pandemic by recognizing that self-care is at the heart of real health and well-being and by leveraging new skills to improve their performance as well as overall wellbeing in the community.
