Conference Awards

  • Awardees must be current or continuing undergraduate students at ECU who are presenting their research or creative activity projects at conferences within the United States. These funds are to be used to assist in covering registration fees and travel costs. Awarded amount may be adjusted based on location, travel costs, and availability of funds.
  • Maximum Amount: $600 Total
  • Maximum of 2 Funded Awards Per Faculty Mentor each Academic Year. This includes:
  • Two students presenting the same project OR
  • Two students with different projects
  • If two students are presenting the same project, they each submit this form separately for their expense requests.
  • Conferences must take place from August - May.
  • Money will only be transferred to the department in which the activity took place and the department will be responsible for obtaining required travel approval, student reimbursement ,and collecting all required receipts.
  • Presentation (poster, podium, or applicable form of delivery) must acknowledge receipt of a Conference Award from The Office of Undergraduate Research, East Carolina University.
