Trust and Safety Research Conference 2023

The Stanford Internet Observatory's two day Trust and Safety Research Conference (September 28-29, 2023) focuses on research in trust and safety for those in academia, industry, civil society, and government. The conference will feature cross-discipline presentations and conversations designed to push forward cutting-edge thinking and research on trust and safety.


If you are interested in presenting at the conference, please complete this form. You will be asked to provide a presentation title and abstract. Applications close April 30, 2023.

Presentation Information

The Trust and Safety Research Conference will feature four different types of presentations:

  • Research Panel Presentation: 12 minute presentations with a discussant and audience questions. Presenters will be grouped by topic or theme into tracks.
  • Lightning Talk: 5 minute presentations on a narrowly scoped research topic or finding.
  • Poster: Posters will be displayed throughout the day and presented during happy hour. Conference organizers will print all posters.
  • Workshop: a 60 or 90 minute skill-based workshop. As an example, see the workshop from last year's conference.


Individuals selected to present will receive one discount registration code.
