2024-2025 Leon S. Peters Resident and Fellow of the Year Award
The prestigious Leon S. Peters Resident of the Year Award and Fellow of the Year Award is selected by the UCSF Fresno Resident Council and presented at the UCSF Fresno House Staff Graduation Ceremony every year. Both awards are funded by a generous gift from the Leon S. Peters Foundation.
Current house staff members can nominate a deserving resident and fellow for this year’s awards. Please provide the Resident Council with the full name and a summary of why the nominee meets one or more of the following criteria:
- Demonstrates an outstanding job in patient and family care.
- Quantifiable success with a research project
- Volunteers their time in the community to provide medical assistance where needed.
- Proven to be a well-rounded physician concerned with their patients, research, and community.
It is important that the Resident Council has a thorough description of why the nominee is deserving of the resident or fellow award.
The Resident Council will select one resident and one fellow as recipients of the Leon S. Peters Resident of the Year Award and Fellow of the Year Award for the 2024-2025 academic year. Each award recipient will receive a $500 monetary award.
House staff may submit ONE nomination per award category, and please no self-nominations.
