Staff members are encouraged to participate in FIT professional development offerings or other training and development supported by their supervisor to enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform their job successfully and enhance their career development.

If the operations of the college would be negatively affected by the absence of the staff member during this period, an alternative hour may be arranged upon mutual agreement of the supervisor and employee.
