Advancing Understanding of Land-Atmosphere Interactions and Processes on S2S Predictability Workshop
Scientists from NOAA and the NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research invite you to attend an upcoming workshop titled Advancing understanding of land-atmosphere interactions and processes on S2S predictability that will be held on June 16-18 at the NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research (NSF NCAR) in Boulder, CO.
This workshop is intended to be highly interactive and collaborative, focusing on the role of land-atmosphere interactions and land physics on predictability and prediction skill at subseasonal-to-seasonal (S2S) timescales (defined here as two weeks to three months) and identifying strategies to advance the state of the science and improve S2S prediction.
As part of registration, you are invited to submit an abstract to present your research at our workshop as a poster or oral presentation. Presentations that identify and describe opportunities for synergistic multi-agency (domestic and international) S2S system development are of particular relevance. Please note there are very limited openings for oral presentations.
Registrations with abstract submissions are due by April 23, all other registrations are open through May 28. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at predictability@ucar.edu with any questions or concerns.
