2025 Ignite by 4-H Scholarship Application

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, September 20, 5 p.m. ET


Thank you to Bayer, Charles Schwab Foundation, CHS Foundation, and Nationwide Foundation, we are able to provide a limited number of scholarships that will cover the entire registration fee.

Ignite by 4-H Scholarships do not include travel.


This competitive scholarship opportunity is open to youth/adult attendees. Scholarships will be awarded and evaluated through lenses of racial equity, health equity, economic mobility, and social justice. Priority will be given to under-resourced populations such as Native Americans, Latino/Latinx, rural, or immigrant communities.


The following are eligible to apply:

  • Cooperative Extension 4-H programs within land-grant universities (LGUs)
  • Cooperative Extension 4-H programs and clubs within your local county
  • Parent/guardian and 4-H teen(s)

Ignite Registration Costs:

  • Teen General Admission - $1,350
  • Adult Single Occupancy Admission - $1,800


Registration includes:

  • High impact programming and speakers featuring national experts and leaders along with opportunities for career exploration, using your voice and building connections with teens from across the country.
  • Room and board (double occupancy for teens, single occupancy for adults) checking in on Wednesday, March 12 and checking out on Sunday, March 16.
  • All meals and breaks
  • DC-area site visits and program materials


IMPORTANT:

  • If awarded, you will receive a confirmation email and additional instructions will be sent for registration.
  • All teens must be accompanied by an adult chaperone
  • All teens that receive a scholarship will be required to submit a Lead to Change (LTC) project application. For examples of past LTC projects, please follow this link.


Scholarship recipients will be notified by Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

The full amount requested is not guaranteed. Those who apply could receive a partial scholarship. Teams must consist of at least one (1) adult and one (1) youth.
