2025 VPS Quality Summit and User Conference Call for Abstracts

VPS is currently accepting applications for podium presentations and poster presentations to be presented during the Quality Summit and User Conference in Kansas City, April 30 - May 2, 2025. Those not selected for oral presentation will automatically be accepted for presentation during the poster session on May 1, 2025. Proposal submissions should be timely, relevant, and evidence-based topics that feature best practices in research, quality improvement, clinical practice, leadership, or education and are intended to engage our participants and assist clinicians to thrive in today’s ever-changing global health care environment.


All presenters must complete a disclosure/conflict of interest form.


Application deadline Friday, February 28, 2025.

List the full name of the presenter.

If there is more than one submitter, list the email address of the primary contact.

If there is more than one submitter, list the phone number of the primary contact.

Primary or Contributing Author*

The presentation is not limited to the first (primary) author, but the presenter must have a role in the study group.

Presentation guidelines:

•    Reflects current or cutting-edge science through evidence-based content

•    Demonstrate excellence

•    Inclusive of timeliness, relevancy, creativity, and innovation

•    Applies to/has implication for pediatric critical care

•    No mention of confidential information (e.g., patient-, family-, or staff-identifying information)

•    Free of commercial bias (no mention of company equipment, company logos, tag lines, equipment photos with visible company names, etc.)

•    Proposals submitted to other meetings are acceptable, providing the work has not been published. VPS does not accept presentation submissions from commercial entities.

Title is limited to 75 characters and needs to clearly reflect the content. Consider using searchable terms.

Please provide a 2-3 sentence description of your presentation that will be posted for participants to view.

Please prepare a short reference list of at least five references. The majority of references should be from 2018-2024. The reference list should be in APA format. APA format required: http://www.apastyle.org.

A learning objective is a learner-focused statement that states what the learner can expect to achieve by the end of the educational activity. This is what the learner should be able to do after participating in a podium or poster presentation. The learning outcomes/objectives should offer clear support of the presentation title.

Please Note:

VPS is unable to financially support travel, hotel, or registration costs for podium or poster presenters, nor for shipping and handling of posters. We look forward to the presenters attending the Summit and are all expected to register for the event if selected.
