The Cultural Space Agency: Properties and Projects Pipeline

The Cultural Space Agency is a mission-driven cultural real estate development company. It partners with community-based cultural organizations to help build, preserve, and own cultural space.


We are not a funding organization, but rather an educational and skill resource center. We assist in the development of a project through connections to resources, education, and access to our skilled and knowledgeable Constituency members.


The organization maintains a “pipeline” of projects and partnerships that it is considering. This questionnaire is designed to help us create an overview and briefing for our internal review committee, which is called the Property Investment and Programming Partnerships Committee, or the P.I.P.P. They will assess each project for its mission alignment, feasibility, and readiness. Please review our Vision, Mission, and Values before applying to see if our organization is a good fit.


Take a look and fill out anything that’s appropriate, skip anything that isn’t, and add anything to the end that we haven’t asked about. This is not a grant application so please don't feel pressure to answer everything or add every detail. We are looking to initiate an understanding and there will be more opportunity to tell us more via our interview process.

We focus on reparative investment by prioritizing Black and Indigenous partnerships.


We buy buildings; we build capacity; we promote (promote, cultivate, empower) agency and access to wealth-building opportunities


We support our collaborators' self-determination through education programs, partnership, and resource-building.
