Call For Proposals Guidelines:
We are excited to announce the Call for Proposals for the 2024 Oklahoma Higher Ed IT Summit, scheduled to take place at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma, on May 20-21, 2024.
As the landscape of Higher Education Information Technology evolves, we aim to provide a platform for collaboration, idea exchange, and reflection on the power of information technology.
Tracks:
This year, we are seeking proposals across the following tracks:
• Cybersecurity, Governance, Risk, and Compliance
• Data All Over
• Leadership, Partnerships, and Strategy
• Infrastructure, Cloud, Support, and Networking
• Technology Buzz
Proposal Options:
We invite you to contribute to the summit through various proposal options:
1. Conference Workshops: Hands-on, 45-minute workshops scheduled during the conference dates. Submissions should outline detailed plans for participant interaction.
2. Concurrent Sessions: Interactive 45-minute presentations providing practical advice and experiences. Co-presenters are encouraged, and the CoIT Summit Committee may feature your proposal in a panel.
3. Poster Sessions and Table Talks: Opportunities to present research, lead discussions, provide demonstrations, or share best practices in a less formal setting. Ideal for first-time speakers.
Preparing Your Proposal:
To ensure your proposal aligns with the summit's goals, please consider the following:
- Clearly articulate how your presentation will benefit attendees.
- Avoid any perception of a "sales pitch"; focus on issues, innovative solutions, and audience engagement.
- Be specific about learning objectives, session content, and takeaways.
- Register for the full conference if your proposal is accepted.
