Mailing List Rental Agreement
Please read the terms of our Mailing List Rental Agreement and certify your understanding below.
ASTA mailing lists are available for rent to promote workshops, performances, schools, services, and publications. Individual ASTA members are included in rented mailing lists; institutions and businesses that serve the strings community are not included. ASTA individual members include K-12 teachers, higher education teachers and conductors, graduate students, undergraduate students, and performers.
Ordering Policies
Rented mailing lists will include the following: first and last name, mailing address, city, state, zip code, country, and if applicable, profession and/or instrument. To protect the privacy of our members, email addresses and phone numbers are not available for purchase. A complete list of segmented versions with sub-selections of profession, instrument, and geographical location may be rented. Lists are compiled in an Excel document and sent electronically.
Requirements
An exact copy of the communication being mailed (brochure, flyer, pamphlet, postcard, etc.) must accompany all requests. All mailings must be of professional use to ASTA members and be relevant to their field of expertise. ASTA reserves the right to reject any proposed direct mailing that does not conform to the standards, principles, and ethics of ASTA. ASTA does not guarantee and shall not be responsible for the success of the mailing.
Limitations
Rented mailing lists are strictly for one-time use. ASTA takes appropriate precautions to detect unauthorized uses. If the list is needed for additional mailings, the list must be rented each use. All those who rent the ASTA mailing list must agree to the following:
- Use the rented mailing list only to accomplish a single mailing of the approved mailing piece
- Cannot reuse the rented mailing list or use it for any purpose not specified on the order form
- Will not copy or reproduce the rented mailing list, or sell, lease, or otherwise distribute it
- Will not make any record of the names, addresses, or other information contained in the rented mailing list
- Will not mention ASTA in the mailing or imply ASTA endorsement of product or service within the mailing. ASTA must approve all language going out through the mail and reserves the right to refuse supplying rental lists to those who imply ASTA's endorsement.
- Will not contact any person named in the rented list or arrange for any other party to do so without prior written consent from ASTA
Any reuse, reproduction, recording, or redistribution of the information provided on a rented mailing list is strictly prohibited. ASTA has the right to refuse to do any future business with mailing list renters who breach any of the terms in this agreement.
Payment Terms
Payments must be paid in full within 30 days of receiving the rented mailing list quote and/or invoice. If payment is not received in full within 30 days of receiving the quote or invoice, the order form, direct mail piece sample, and quote are no longer valid and need to be resubmitted by the mailing list renter. The minimum amount for all mailing list rental orders is $100. All mailing list rental payments must be paid in full prior to receiving the list.
There is no return policy on mailing list rental orders. No refunds or credits will be made after an order has been processed. If there are any doubts of how the order will be interpreted by ASTA when processed, mailing list renters should contact ASTA for clarification before placing the order.
