Open Jobs for Graduate Students

Under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), all open jobs for graduate students which are primarily research or teaching must be posted on Handshake for at least 5 working days. If you have already identified a student to fill the job you do not need to complete this form.

Please let us know details about your open job so your admin can post the job on Handshake, including all the details required by the CBA. If appropriate, the job will also be included in the doctoral weekly announcement.

If you have any questions about research or teaching jobs for graduate students, please contact the Student Employment team at gsestudentemployment@stanford.edu.

GSE created a GSE Hourly Employment for Stanford Students guide, which can help answer many questions about hourly employment. Or you can reach to the GSE HR team (gse-humanresources@stanford.edu) with questions about work that is not primarily research or teaching.
