Research Internship Applications
The Audiology Research Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital, directed by Amanda Griffin, AuD, PhD, seeks to spark interest in young adults with hearing differences to become actively involved in D/HH research. Through a year-long funded research internship program, individuals will gain exposure to the research process, contribute meaningfully to active audiological research studies, and have the opportunity to present their collaborative work at an academic research conference.
Interns will:
- learn about the clinical research process at an academic medical center, gaining exposure to: 1) development of a research question, 2) development of a research study protocol, 3) the IRB process, 4) subject recruitment, 5) data collection, 6) data analysis, and 7) dissemination of research findings.
- be encouraged to present the results of their research at an academic research conference, pending sufficient research productivity.
The internship will be full-time (in-person in Waltham, MA) for the first 2-months (June-July) followed by part-time (5 hours/week; remote) during the academic year (September-May). Interns must reside in MA, NH, RI, CT, or ME when working remotely.
