PROGRAMMING

What programming does your club offer within the Long-Term Equestrian Development (LTED) Stages?*

Please check all that apply.

Active Start – Ages 0-6, basic movements in active play, physical activity and often first exposure to horses/stables.

FUNdamentals – Ages 6-9, often first exposure to equestrian activities; fun, while learning with peers, development of basic fundamental movement skills, and develop familiarity with equines.

Learn to Train – Ages 8 until early adolescent; continuing to increase equestrian activities with some specialization introduced, including use of aids and position.

Training to Train – First entry into competition narrowing discipline focuses, introduction to the competitive experience.

Learn to Compete – Riders consolidate and refine equestrian skills, consistent performance is the goal.

Train to Compete – Understanding key performance factors associated with a specific discipline, refining equestrian skills, developing more advanced skills and competing with consistency.

Learn to Win – Consistent skill execution and optimize performance with the goal of consistently placing at the top, these riders will be competing on the world stage.

Train to Win - Commitment to international excellence, competing at World Equestrian Games, Olympics/Paralympics and Pan-American/Para Pan-American Games.

Active for Life – Individuals involved in equestrian sport at any time after learning to ride, ongoing commitment to participate in equestrian activities.

RISK MANAGEMENT

AEF MUST be prudent about liability issues that could arise from our association with any equine activity, therefore:

• A current certificate of insurance confirming general liability insurance (min $2 million) for your Club, MUST BE received before your club membership becomes valid; 45 day grace period is provided. Acera Insurance Services offers Club Insurance at preferred rates for AEF Clubs – call 1-800-670-1877.

• To further protect your Club’s Risk it is highly recommended that all members of your club also be members of AEF. Important – a condition of Acera’s Club Liability Insurance is ensuring that all your individual club members who are actively riding or driving are also AEF members. This does not apply to social or honorary members who no longer ride or drive in Club associated activities. If a loss were to occur involving one of your active riding or driving club members, and it is found that they are not a member of the AEF, your club insurance may become null and void.
