Workshop Information

Workshops will take place in-person in Washington, D.C. in March 26-29, 2026. You will be expected to present your workshop at least twice during the event. A workshop schedule will be provided to you in early January.

Be creative with your workshop title! Make it sound exciting for participants.

Due to number of Ignite attendees and room size, your workshop may need to accommodate 22-60 people per session.

Select all that apply:

This form is used to collect workshop proposals for both teen and adult audiences. If you are submitting a workshop intended for adult participants, please respond to all questions with that audience in mind, even if the question references a teen audience.

Consider if your workshop would be better suited for a longer time block.

Presented to the same group of teens with a 10-minute break in the middle, extended workshops require two 50-minute sessions of engaging material and activities.

For example:

  • 5 min – Welcome & introductions
  • 10 min – Icebreaker or group discussion
  • 30 min – Main activity or presentation
  • 10 min – Reflection or group debrief
  • 5 min – Wrap-up & questions

This helps us better understand how teens or adults will be engaged throughout the session.

Please, describe your workshop in 3-5 sentences.

If your workshop is selected, we use this as the description for attendees. Again, be creative, make it sound exciting and double check for grammatical errors!

Tell us what participants will gain from this workshop.

Describe how participants will be actively engaged during your session.

This could include group activities, simulations, creative tasks, use of technology or any other "learning by doing" elements. Simple things like voting with sticky notes or small group discussions count.

How is your workshop preparing young people to be Beyond Ready for changing the world?

At Ignite we aim to continue fostering the development of impactful leaders with strong character through our workshops. Please indicate which of the following characteristics will be emphasized in your workshop:

Feel free to include any other benefits or impacts your workshop may provide participants!
