Fall 2025 CAWD Reentry Mini Grants Application

Capital Area Workforce Development Board (CAWD), in collaboration with Wake County Government, is excited to announce grant funding for Wake County nonprofits serving justice-involved residents. Eligible organizations can apply for up to $25,000 for participant support services, skills development, job readiness training, and employment preparation. This is a 12-month grant.


Application Deadline: Applications are due by Friday, August 15, 2025 at 5:15 PM.

Budget

Identify funding requests in detail. Funding does not cover


  • Non-Wake County residents    
  • Rent deposits and payments
  • Any staff related expenses including food
  • Unauthorized food purchases
  • Gift cards used as incentives
  • Utility funds given directly to participant
 

Contracted Services

Contract Services – Third-party provides direct training to trainees via formal agreement (contract or MOA)

Equipment – Required equipment necessary for associated training (computers, printers, projectors, etc.)

 
 
 
 

Materials and Supplies

Material and Supplies – Required training supplies (pens, paper, certificates, printing etc.)
