TIAC has been advocating on behalf of the industry for government assistance and relief measures. Some of those measures have already been announced but we are continuing to ask for additional government assistance. That’s why it is so important for us to hear from you so we can provide up-to-date information to government officials and politicians.

1a. We know the current crisis is impacting tourism businesses everywhere; can you advise if you have been forced to lay off staff or are you planning to? If so, what % of your workforce?

1b. Can you share what the financial impact has been on your business so far or have you projected what it might be in terms of % or $?

1c. Have you pursued Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy or Work Sharing Program? If you have, what has been your experience?

Have you secured or investigated a short-term loan through the Business Credit Availability Program (BCAP) which provides support through the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and Export Development Canada (EDC) or the new Canada Emergency Business Account which provides interest-free loans of up to $40,000 to small businesses and not-for-profits, to help cover their operating costs during a period where their revenues have been temporarily reduced?
