Application materials

Please upload a document responding to all of the following prompts. Answers for questions (1) and (2) should be at least one paragraph apiece.

(1) How has Minnesota's criminal legal system impacted your life? What policy changes would have made a difference in your experiences with Minnesota's criminal legal system?

(2) What do you hope to gain from participating in the Smart Justice Fellowship? After graduating from the fellowship, what do you aspire to do with your new training, knowledge, and experience?

(3) If you already are connected to a criminal legal reform campaign that you would like to work with for this fellowship, please list it here. If you are not, please list some criminal legal reform issues that you would be interested in working on as part of a campaign.

This document upload is required to be considered for the Fellowship. Please respond to all of the prompts above in your document upload.

Optional supplementary materials

In addition to your response to the questions above, please feel free to upload any materials that give us a better sense of who you are. This could be a short written narrative of your life, a short video introducing yourself and what is important to you, a few important photographs, or anything else that allows us to better see you as you wish to be seen.

This document upload is optional; not uploading these supplementary materials will not disqualify you from being considered for the Fellowship.
