Petition to Student Academic Suspension Appeal

Suspended undergraduate students who wish to appeal their suspension must complete this form. Supporting documentation is required for the Committee to consider the petition.


To ensure your appeal is reviewed before registration, the form must be submitted by the deadline specified in the link provided on the form. Late petitions will not be accepted once the Committee has met. Only one appeal per suspension will be reviewed.


The Committee's decision will only be reviewed by the Provost and Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs if there were procedural errors in the original review. Appeals for suspension removal must clearly detail the extraordinary circumstances that justify reconsideration and include all relevant supporting documentation.


The Academic Suspension Appeal Committee will review each appeal and render a final decision. For further questions don't hesitate to contact the Office of the Registrar at OTR@apsu.edu.

It is recommended that you consult with your advisor, department chair, or other university personnel familiar with your academic abilities, as they may be able to provide valuable support for your petition. Also, please provide a personal statement. Your statement should clearly explain your request and provide any relevant background information to support it. Please be sure your name and student ID# are included on your statement.
