Mt. SAC Conference & Travel Funding Application (2025-2026)

Please read the guideline below before submitting your Conference & Travel funding request.


Guidelines:

  • Mt. SAC's AP 7400 has been updated, please read Mt. SAC's Board of Trustees, Administrative Policy 7400 Travel before completing this application.
  • PDC requires that you apply at least 3 weeks before your event to ensure adequate time for a council decision.
  • Before you submit your application, please get in touch with your manager:
  1. Obtain their approval to attend the conference
  2. Let them know you are applying for PDC conference and travel funding     


Faculty: You may apply for up to $2,200 per academic year, provided funding is available. You may apply multiple times until you have reached the $2,200 threshold.


Classified staff: PDC will not accept funding applications more than 6 months in advance. The funding timeline will be as follows:

  1. July - December (for conferences held in July, you can apply as early as mid-May using the previous year's form to ensure you are reviewed by PDC)
  2. January - June (for conferences held in January, you can apply as early as mid-November, to ensure PDC reviews your application)
  3. You may apply for up to $1800 per academic year, provided funding is available (you may apply multiple times until you have reached the $1800 threshold).                                                                        


Please note:

  • PDC Conference and travel funding cannot be used for:
  1. Licensing, tuition, and fees to enroll in an educational program or class.
  2. Tradeshows
  3. Airbnb stays
  • Your contributions are important to support the College's success and mission. PDC requires that you complete your post-conference and "share-out" plan before submitting your expense report in Chrome River.
  • You cannot apply for POD conference and travel funding retroactively.
  • Application for funding does not guarantee approval.
  • About funding: Classified and Faculty travel are from different funding sources that are contractually obligated. One does not affect the other. For more information: please contact Lisa Rodriguez, Lizbet Sanchez, or Val Biller, PDC Tri-Chair Persons.

  • Classified, Confidential, and Management employees are eligible for up to $1,800 per fiscal year.
  • Faculty are eligible for up to $2,200 per fiscal year.
  • Any request or combination of requests that exceed these thresholds in a fiscal year will be declined.
