2025 Mini Camp Registration

June 6-8, 2025 in Saratoga, CA


WHAT IS IT?

Mini-Camp is an annual camp hosted by the CISV San Francisco chapter. It’s a great way to learn about CISV over a weekend. The Junior Branch (JB) organizes and runs the activities for the camp.


WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?

The weekend camp is full of CISV activities, energizers, educational content, awesome people, the opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones…and so much more!


WHO CAN ATTEND?

The camp is open to anyone between the ages of 10-18 who are members of the CISV San Francisco Chapter.

All delegates from the San Francisco chapter preparing to travel to summer programs are required to be in attendance, as this will be the last delegation meeting before they travel.


WHEN & WHERE IS IT?

June 6-8, 2025 in Saratoga, CA


The camp starts after dinner on Friday (around 6pm) and ends Sunday before lunch (around 11am). Camp is immediately followed by a chapter potluck picnic lunch to conclude the weekend.


HOW MUCH IS IT?

The cost for those NOT traveling with the San Francisco Chapter this Summer is $295 and can be paid through PayPal here.


The cost for San Francisco Chapter Summer 2025 travelers is included in summer travel fees.


WHAT IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER AND PAY?

Early Deadline to ensure a Mini-Camp T-Shirt is May 17th, 2025.

Deadline to register (a camp T-Shirt may not be available): June 1, 2025.

By indicating your signature below, you acknowledge:

1) Authorization of the CISV Adult Volunteer(s) as Temporary Guardian(s) of your child for the purpose of consenting to medical treatment and providing prescribed medication on behalf of your child during the duration of the Mini Camp.


2) Your child must have health insurance in order to participate and that you are responsible for any medical expenses incurred by your child while at Mini Camp. A copy of the insurance card must be attached.


3) You consider your child capable of taking part in the Mini Camp and agree not to make a claim or file a lawsuit against CISV if your child is injured while traveling to/from and/or participating in the activity, unless there has been gross negligence on the part of CISV.


4) You and your child understand that participants are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with local laws and CISV rules of behavior. If your child engages in inappropriate behavior, they may be sent home before the end of the Mini Camp. You will be responsible for retrieving your child from the Mini Camp site location and paying for any damage or injury caused by your child.


5) Membership in a CISV Chapter or the National Association is required in order to participate in the Mini Camp. CISV will keep a record of your child's name and contact details and will use them in the administration of membership and participation. CISV may contact you and/or your child about the organization in the future.


6) Permission to Use Photographs, Artwork, Written Work, Videos and Audiotapes created as part of participation in the Mini Camp. CISV may use these items in the production of educational, social, or promotional materials including webpages. These items may be used and published with your child's first name or nickname, age, Chapter and/or nationality. CISV follows the Social Media and Digital Safety Policy as published by the CISV International office.

1) You will follow the Child Code of Behavior as a condition of participating in CISV activities.


2) You will not participate in the purchase or consumption of alcohol, tobacco products or other psychoactive or mind altering substances while under the legal age.


3) Only people who are assigned to your cabin will sleep there. You will respect and follow any additional rules set forward in relation to visitors being in your cabin.


4) You will abide by the curfew set for nighttime activities. This means that you will be in your cabin before the established time, with no questions asked.


5) You will exhibit respectful and reasonably quiet behavior in all areas of the site, including bedrooms, hallways, public areas, and meeting rooms. You understand the importance of showing respect to site employees, CISV volunteers and your fellow participants.


6) You understand that you will not leave the site for any reason, unless accompanied by at least two CISV Adult volunteers.


7) You will attend, be on time and fully participate in all activities throughout the entire program.


8) You will abide by any other rules or standards of behavior as stated during your participation.


9) You understand that if you violate any part of the Child Code of Behavior, you may be subject to disciplinary action including, but not limited to having your participation in future activities limited and/or being sent home at your own expense. You also understand that you must pay for any damage to the site or individual you may cause.
