The Community Engagement Center provides document translation and live interpretation services to the Pitzer and broader community to ensure community events, meetings, and information are accessible to all.

If you are fluent in a language, you can apply to be an on call translator/interpreter and added to our Translator + Interpreter Database. If you qualify to be in this position, you may be contacted by a member of the CEC or individual seeking services. We will also send out emails in search of these services throughout the semester. Some opportunities may be reoccurring and others may be a one-time event.

COMPENSATION

If you are selected for services by someone from the CEC, a community partner, faculty or student you will be compensated accordingly:

• $33/hr for document translation services
• $150/hr for live interpretation from CEC
