It is highly recommended to meet with Allie Olson, Director of the Global Engagement Office before you submit your GEO application.
There is no application fee for this GEO Application.
The GEO Application is the College's internal eligibility application for students interested in studying abroad. If your GEO Application is approved, it means you are approved to APPLY FOR certain study abroad programs and it is not approval INTO a specific program itself. Each program will have its own eligibility requirements and we can never guarantee admission to any program.
Note for International Students: If you are interested in studying "abroad" in your home country, it has to be on an exchange program. Also, remember to keep the OIR staff informed about your study abroad plans to ensure your F-1 visa is not impacted.
Basic Eligibility:
- At least 2nd Semester Sophmore status by the program start date
- 2.7 GPA
- Good academic, disciplinary, and financial standing with the College
- Advisor(s) support
Please Note: Meeting all basic eligibility does not guarantee an approved GEO application.
BE CAREFUL OF AUTOFILL. Every semester at least one student submits an application where they used autofill on a section and information on other sections of the application were affected. This led to confusing and incorrect information submitted as part of the students' applications.
If you need a very specific course that a certain program offers to stay on track to graduate, notify Allie Olson as soon as possible and BEFORE you submit this application.
