Apply DS-2019

Non-US citizens, who are seeking a student visa (J-1) to study in the states should use this form to apply for the DS-2019 Eligibility Form.


DS-2019 Deadline for Fall: April 1 and Spring: October 1


After nomination and admission to the university, you may submit the following documents to apply for your DS-2019. Expect at least a 3 day window to create your DS-2019, once items are accepted. ISS will ship your document to the address you provide.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

Upload file size 100MB. Collect electronic copies of the following documents BEFORE you begin. Your application is not complete until the following documents are uploaded and approved. Scan as PDF or JPG.


  • Valid Passport photo page
  • Exchange Certificate of Finance (COF) Form completed and signed. Bank statements are not acceptable. Students must submit a certified letter from a bank.
  • Proof of English Proficiency
  • Official Transcripts


You will be asked to complete the Insurance Acknowledgement Form in the Apply DS-2019 form.

Your student ID can be found on your official acceptance letter or in Hillstart under "Additional Links & Resources" and "Your St. Edward's Information." Email seu.admit@stedwards.edu if you are unable to locate it.

Program

(St. Edward's only accepts undergraduate exchange students at this time.) All students must choose an academic major, not "academic exploration" or "undeclared" to receive a DS-2019. State the program of study you intend to engage in at St. Edward's. It may not have the same name as your program of your home university but may be aligned.
