Dedicated to Helping Others
Pitzer Sophomore and Junior applicants are preferred, but a solid proposal for a Senior Year Independent Study will not be excluded from consideration.
Application deadline: Complete applications are due by 11:59 am on Monday, April 14, 2025
Criteria for the Award and Additional Information
1. The projects should involve directly helping people (tutoring, social work, community service, etc.) rather than only library research.

4. Special attention may be given to projects in which students take the initiative to develop proposals for experiences appropriate to their particular interests and programs of study.
5. Number and dollar amount annually awarded varies—typically 3-5 awards of $500-$1500 each.
6. Award notifications are expected by May 5, 2025.
Students should submit the following in the attachment section below:
- A written proposal not to exceed 700 words which explains the proposed project and how you will use the requested support (transportation, materials, books, etc.)
